The Dutch Passion master breeder, known for autoflowering genetics like Auto Mazar®, Auto Ultimate®, and Auto Daiquiri Lime®, created Auto Orange Bud® by crossing an autoflowering Auto Daiquiri Lime male with a supreme original Orange Bud photoperiod mother plant. This was part of a detailed selection process from a large number of plants across 12 generations, aiming to breed the best traits.
Project Duration and Breeding Focus
The breeding program spanned over three years, making it the most complex and extensive autoflowering breeding effort by Dutch Passion. The focus was on selecting plants with the highest THC levels, biggest yields, and authentic Orange Bud characteristics in smell, taste, and effect. The result is an autoflowering variety that matches the original photoperiod Orange Bud in potency, quality, and aroma/taste, indistinguishable even in blind tests by experienced panels.
