Mephisto Genetics started in 2012 when two friends, Mitch and Tim, set out to prove autos could hit just as hard as photoperiods.
They took elite photo genetics, ran them through carefully planned auto crosses, and kept refining until they had proper, stable, feminized auto-flower seeds — not the weak, old-school autos people were used to.
Working from their base in Barcelona (with hubs now in the US and Canada), they’ve rolled out close to 50 autos, many of them now cult favourites.
That includes standouts like 24 Carat Auto (easy to run, loud, surprisingly productive) and Hubbabubbasmelloscope (bubblegum terp bomb, frosty, great structure). The market noticed: Mephisto keep turning up in cup results, and in 2023 they took Best Breeder at the Autoflower World Cup and the American Autoflower Cup in LA.
They stay close to the community — very active on Instagram — and a lot of commercial outfits use their lines because they’re consistent, terp-rich and actually potent. If you want true “next-gen” autos, this is the lane.
