Monster Genetics launched in 2007 and really stepped into the spotlight after a High Times Cannabis Cup win in 2012.
From there they set up officially in Barcelona, with James Loud and Mike Seeds steering the ship and bringing their two decades of NorCal breeding experience to a European base.
Their catalogue is deliberately small — about eight feminized and auto strains — but every one of them goes through what they call their four pillars: genetic excellence, batch tracking, germination control and stock renewal. In practice that means the lines stay stable, fresh and true to type.
Two you should definitely peek at: Monster Gelato Auto (fast, colourful, sweet and very punchy) and Monster Pebbles (sativa-leaning, fruity-spicy and notably heavy in effect). It’s all very Cali in vibe, just made for a wider audience.
