Description
Overview
Malawi x Panama is an F1 hybrid featuring the best of Central African and American sativa genetics, resulting from a cross between Old Malawi Killer and the latest Panama parental plants. Focused on producing high-yielding, vigorous sativas, this combination emphasizes Malawi’s structural potency and resin production with Panama’s complex lemony and incensey terpenes, offering a THC content between 21 and 26%.
Experience
The hybrid delivers a complex, deep, and enduring effect that is both mentally and physically engaging, catering particularly to experienced sativa enthusiasts. Its powerful and introverted high is described as trippy and crazy, showcasing a rich terpene profile that blends woody, spicy notes with citrusy undertones.
Cultivation Insights
Malawi x Panama thrives under strong light, reportedly requiring sufficient space to accommodate its pure sativa structure. It’s well-suited for both SOG and SCROG methods, benefiting from moderate to high nutrient levels during its flowering stage. This strain is ideally cultivated in tropical or subtropical climates, or warm coastal regions with mild autumns, up to latitudes of 43º. Gardeners should consider a disciplined approach to nitrogen in the growing phase and adjust for a richer feeding schedule as flowering progresses.

Sesquiterpenes: Mainly beta caryophyllene (30 %) with smaller equitable amounts of guaiol, trans nerolidol and alpha humelene (12-15 % each).
- Growing Tips: It can be grown indoors with strong light intensity and with enough space for its development. The breeder recommends to switch her into flowering after 15 days from seed, or starting from clones rooted for at least 7 days. Very suitable for SOG crops due to its great yield in the main cola, or for SCROG, horizontal or network growing due to its excellent yield in the lateral branches and its vigorous reaction to pruning. Outdoors, it is especially suitable for outdoor cultivation in tropical or subtropical climates, although it can be cultivated with very good results in warm coastal climates of mild autumn (similar to the Mediterranean) up to latitudes close to 43º. The breeder recommends moderate nutrients levels during the growing stage (slightly low of nitrogen) and moderate-high for the flowering stage.
