Purple Thai

Overview

Purple Thai, a landrace strain from Thailand, grows up to 4 meters with slender leaves and long flowers, exhibiting either a purple shimmer or dark green, trichome-covered leaves. Its stable climate allows for up to two possible harvests annually, though often limited by monsoon rains. This pure sativa delivers a potent, psychedelic high, promoting introspection and creativity, making it ideal for meditation or yoga. Its buds possess an exotic, fruity, berry flavor and aroma, with a high THC content stabilized at 24%.

Cultivation

Purple Thai demands 11-13 weeks of flowering, with harvests in late October or early November, ideally in greenhouses in Northern Europe due to weather concerns. Suitable for both SCROG and SOG setups, it can be grown in hydro or soil environments. Indoor plants reach 80-90 cm, heavy with dark purple, orange-haired buds, and yield over 500g/m², while outdoor plants can yield up to 1kg each. Cooler end-of-cycle temperatures can enhance the plant’s vibrant colors.
