Development and Breeding Process

After 5 years of development, a high-quality CBD, very low THC plant named Morning Star has been released, boasting uniform high yields, extreme stability, and high resistance to pathogens. Utilizing a wild hemp variety for its vigour and disease resistance, this variety emerged from a rigorous selection process including multiple backcrosses and selection from thousands of plants to ensure optimal performance.

Genetic Stability and Selection

The breeding process occurred under climate-controlled conditions to prevent cross-pollination, with pollination performed meticulously by hand. To ensure a high feminization rate, a batch of 10,000 seeds per crop is germinated to measure the male to female ratio. A stable, pest-resistant strain suitable for colder and windy climates was developed after an extensive phenotype selection process, offering a uniform flower canopy for easy harvesting.

Plant Characteristics

The variety is feminized, early flowering, and Christmas tree-shaped with a high branch number and short internodes. Leaves are dark green with 5-7 fronds. Under optimum conditions, it can reach 17% CBD and 0.2% THC, potentially yielding 5kg of dried trimmed flower with a citrus aroma. The compact, hard buds closely resemble those of indoor-grown THC varieties, offering an ideal smokable CBD flower compliant with THC levels.
