Description
HYBRIDIZATION
Originally from the U.S. in the 70s and popularized by a Jimmy Hendrix song, Purple Haze has evolved significantly from its modest psychoactive and production levels. It struggled initially due to inbreeding but was the main variety used at Woodstock. Positronics has since revitalized and closely guarded Purple Haze, relaunching it with enhanced qualities reflective of the hippie spirit.
PHYSIOLOGICAL DESCRIPTION
Purple Haze is a robust plant with medium-thick stems that turn purple. It has a large internodal distance and a growth pattern similar to Claustrum, with a candelabrum shape that optimizes flower cluster production. The strain has a moderate leaf quantity, with relatively large, fine, and serrated leaves. The flowers exhibit purple hues with shades ranging from violet to maroon, making it a visual standout in any garden.
Sensory properties
- AROMA: Intoxicating scents of incense and cinnamon, with a slightly acidic and unique character.
- Taste: Offers a sweet and spicy flavor with a lingering incense-infused aftertaste, marking a revolution in taste akin to the iconic skunk.
- Effect: Provides an instant sativa rush, fostering creativity and a light, buoyant sensation. It creates a unique experience that may not be suitable for beginners due to its potent effects.
TO CONSIDER
Purple Haze requires support for its large branches, ample space for root growth, and significant water. Not suitable for balconies or terraces due to its size and needs. Outdoors, planting can be delayed to reduce vigor, or substantial pruning may be necessary. Indoor growth requires early flowering and continuous airflow for optimal flower development.
