To craft New York 47, two significant and genetically complex strains, NYC Diesel and AK 47, were crossbred. This predominantly sativa hybrid is balanced, fostering long lateral branches and vigorous growth, caution advised for its tall stature especially when grown indoors.
Optimal for SCROG cultivation, it produces medium density buds with robust trichomes and citrus grapefruit flavors, alongside stale fruit. Upon breaking the flowers, stronger, sometimes chemical, fruit fragrances emerge. It starts with an euphoric effect suitable for activities such as reading and walking, evolving into a more physical and relaxing impact with time or increased consumption.
